Picture restoration and cleaning
From our workshop in Northampton, we offer picture cleaning, painting restoration and conservation services. These include the re-lining of paintings on canvas, retouching of damaged artworks, re-making of old frames, and full picture cleaning and re-varnishing by skilled experts.
We can restore easel paintings whether on canvas, board or panel, both in oil or acrylic. Our specialists are also adept at paper restoration, paper cleaning , re-colouring watercolours and ‘de-foxing’ them – the brown spots often caused by humidity and acidity – and the removal of paper-based artworks from their backing.
Our advice and estimates are provided free of charge, and larger pieces can often be collected from your home.
